Great watch!

I recently ordered this watch for two purposes-for heart rate training and for the gps function. I have no complaint about either function. The only fault I find with this watch is that the day-of-the-week function is a day off. The time and date set automatically via sattelite reception. The date, time, and year are correct. However, the watch thinks it is Friday when it is really Thursday, Saturday when it is Friday, etc. Not a big deal, just a strange quirk that can't really be fixed! If you know the day of the week without referring to this watch, then I would recommend it.

Fitness watch

GPS watches are usually clunky and expensive, offering features that nobody wants but think they need. This offers the GPS function in spades, tracking movement along a route, even chiming at way-points. Tracks heart-rate well, and is down-loadable later to a computer for analysis. I like to check my heart rate in the moment so that I know how to adapt instantly, but I really like to see a graph at the end of a long ride so that I can determine when I should be working harder.

Corrected

Received watch in February, only to find incorrect settings and unable to manually correct. Amazon sent replacement, only to find same anomalies. Contacted Pyle factory in New York resulting in waiting through the Leap Year to see if incorrect dates and day would self correct. With no resolution, the Pyle people recommended returning the second unit with an upgrade to a better level GPS / HR watch at no additional cost. The transaction ended up taking a while, but the new unit is more substantial, manually correctable and a testament to the customer service abilities of both Amazon and specifically, the Pyle people. Thanks everybody.
